He is fascinated by science and picks up math very quickly, and it is entirely because of an authentic Montessori setting that his love of knowledge has reappeared. Children with ADHD are known to be sensitive, but many of their curiosities and emotions go unnoticed because all we see are their impulses. Montessori and ADHD can be harmonious because the basic ideals of the philosophy are so beneficial to assisting kiddos who needs a little extra support. Materials are enticing, therapeutic, and hands-on, and they’re designed to teach a single skill at one time, which works well for kids with ADHD. Montessori philosophies, teaching methods, and materials are helpful for any child, but children with ADHD may uniquely benefit from a learning environment that naturally addresses some of their specific challenges.
